China Gunpowder Organic

China Gunpowder organic tea is the most well-known Chinese green tea, especially from the Zhejiang region, south of Shanghai. This Gunpowder comes from an organically certified production area in China. The tightly rolled leaves of the tea resemble small pellets, from which the name Gunpowder originates. When steeped, the rolled leaves unfurl. Gunpowder's flavor is very strong, somewhat bitter, tart, and smoky.

Gunpowder can be steeped multiple times, which mellows and softens its flavor. According to a Chinese saying, Gunpowder reveals its true character and soul when the tea leaves are steeped a second time.

Steeping time 1-3 minutes, water temperature 75-80 degrees Celsius, dosage 1 teaspoon per cup or 4-5 teaspoons per liter.
