Georgian OP green tea grows on the Black Sea coast, near Mtirala National Park. The harvesting season for the rare Georgian OP green tea is quite short, from mid-May to early summer, after which the harvest for black tea is collected.
Cultivation is based on Chinese tea farming traditions. The tea leaves are quite large and curled, and their color resembles that of an agave plant.
The flavor is aromatic, soft, and reminiscent of fresh grass. Brewed tea is yellowish-green, with a hint of pineapple in its color.
Brewing time 2-3 minutes, water temperature 80-85 degrees Celsius, dosage 1 teaspoon/cup or 4-5 teaspoons per liter.
