Japanese Genmaicha

Japanese Genmaicha tea is a Japanese specialty containing roasted Bancha tea and roasted rice. Genmai means rice. Approximately 50% of the Bancha tea is roasted. The mild flavor of Bancha tea is complemented by a pleasant nutty sweetness. Genmaicha is a naturally low-caffeine and mild tea that can be enjoyed several cups throughout the day or evening. The roasted sweetness and mild tea are an excellent combination for those just starting out with tea. In Japan, Genmaicha is typically drunk in the afternoon.

Brewing time 1-3 minutes, water temperature 75-80 degrees Celsius, dosage 1 teaspoon/cup or 4-5 teaspoons per liter.
