Japan Tamaryokucha organic green tea is produced on the island of Kyushu in Miyazaki Prefecture. Only small quantities of this rare organic Tamaryokucha are produced annually.
The tea's name comes from the words tama= jewel, ryoku= green, and cha =tea. The tea is medium green in color and its shape somewhat resembles coarse Chun Mee, which is said to resemble a woman's eyebrow. The aroma is fruity and grassy, with a hint of lime. The brewed tea has a complex flavor: soft, slightly nutty, and leaves a subtle spinach note in the aftertaste.
Tamaryokucha's pleasant and approachable taste also encourages new green tea drinkers to explore the wide variety of green teas available.
Steeping time 1-3 minutes, water temperature 75-80 degrees Celsius, dosage 1 teaspoon/cup or 4-5 teaspoons per liter.
