Tea cultivation on the Indonesian island of Java, specifically Java OP tea, began in the 1820s by migrants originally from the Netherlands. The harvest season for Java OP is year-round, and quality variations are very small. This particular Java OP is from the late summer harvest.
Brewed Java OP tea has a dark copper color, and its flavor is strong and aromatic, with a slightly fruity bouquet. Due to its consistent quality, Java OP is a popular tea also in blends. It is well-suited as a morning tea, and the leaves can be brewed multiple times.
Brewing time 3-5 minutes, water temperature 100 degrees Celsius, dosage 1 teaspoon/cup or 4-5 teaspoons per liter.
