Decaffeinated coffee
Decaffeinated coffee, or decaf coffee, is produced by industrially removing caffeine from green, raw beans using various aids and processes. Over 90% of the caffeine can be removed. Decaffeinated coffee beans are larger in size, darker in color, and more expensive than regular beans. Decaf coffee is suitable for those sensitive to caffeine or as an evening coffee before going to bed. The flavor profile of the coffee also changes during the caffeine removal process.
