Organic coffee
Organic coffee comes from organically certified producers around the world, depending on harvest seasons and coffee availability. All organic coffees meet the criteria for organic farming in the producing countries and farms, as well as for coffee processing. Upon arrival in Europe, the local authority responsible for organic control checks the quality of the products and the accuracy of the documentation. In Finland, the supervising authority is the Finnish Food Authority. The cultivation of organic coffee does not allow for fertilizers or chemical pesticides. Organic coffees are generally more expensive than conventional coffees.
